Regarded as one of the world's romantic beaches, Deadman's Beach invites you to a tropical oasis of soft golden sand and crystal clear waters. Hammocks, beach chairs, palm trees, and beach umbrellas line the sand and a restaurant can be found quietly tucked away under the shade of tropical trees. The crescent shaped mile-long beach is the biggest on the island. It is said that the bay got its name from pirates that were marooned on the neighboring Dead Chest Island and drowned while trying to swim to Peter Island. Their bodies washed up ashore on this bay.     As of June 2019 Peter Island Resort is still not open as a resort of Hurricane Irma. We anchored off Deadman's Beach to have lunch and swim with the turtles. We could see the restoration work...  more »
