  Bascilica si San Miniato al Monte is outside the Florence walls and across the Arno River. Get out of the city and hike up the hill. The views are lovely and the convent peaceful.  more »

  If you're in Florence and decide to visit Piazza of Michelangelo, make the extra 5 minute walk to this church. The views overlooking the city of Florence are spectacular and possibly better than the Duomo's view. The church is gorgeous as well.

  Very nice site to see. And views of Florence from here are great too. Make sure you look up the hours as they close in middle of day for a few hours.
