  • The "funny cemetery" isn't just funny. On the crosses, the life of the deceased is briefly described. Sometimes that's really sad, especially when it comes to young people. For example, it says on a cross that a young man has passed away at the age of 29. He drove into the woods and fetched wood. On the way home, just before the village, death got him off the tractor. And that's after he was married for only a short time. I already found this story very sad. On another cross, the daughter-in-law asked, the visitors may be quiet so as not to wake the mother-in-law so that she does not go back to her and continue to ski her. Since the woman passed away at 85, I already thought that was funny. Of course, it is crucial to understand the language in order to be able to read the sayings. I find the cemetery unique in the world, already because of the wooden crosses, designed with naïve painting. The cemetery is still actively used despite the hustle and bustle.

  • It's called merry and in the beginning it can seem nice due to the poems and paintings, but after a while of reading obituaries it becomes sad. The toilet in there is a shame.  more »
  • Merry cemetery - it is really unique and funny place. All the tombstones are colorful, in a uniform style, and describe stories from the livelihood of the buried person. How he lived, how he worked ... You do not have to know the language, there are pictures on most of the tombstones.
  • Very picturesque place, a very original way to see... death.
