Sotavento Beach, Costa Calma

Must see · Beach · Nature / Park
Steady winds attract kite surfers and windsurfers to the wide stretch of golden sand at Sotavento Beach. The winds blow strongly enough to deter many beachgoers looking for a relaxing afternoon though small dunes covered in vegetation do provide shelter. The 5-km (3.1-mi) beach has two sections, Playa Risco del Paso and Playa Barca, though there is no major difference between them. Nudists do frequent these beaches, mostly to the far ends of the sand. • At my time it was nearly empty, maybe because of corona. But water is clear and there is no polution at all. And always storm or windy.  more »
  • Excellent beach - very windy though and not for prudish people as it is frequented by plentiful nudists! Stunning scenery though so worth a visit.  more »
