A city of rich Moorish heritage, Seville is the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, and the site of numerous festivals throughout the year.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Plaza de España and Barrio Santa Cruz. Discover out-of-the-way places like Museo De Bellas Artes De Sevilla and Las Moradas, Artesania Andalusi. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Royal Alcázar of Seville, stop by Coco Sevilla, surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and hunt for treasures at Mercadillo Historico del Jueves.

Malaga to Seville is an approximately 2.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or take a train. In October in Seville, expect temperatures between 30°C during the day and 19°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Thu) so you can take a train to Cordoba.

Andalucía’s thousand-year-old city, Córdoba, was once the capital of both the Roman Empire and the Moorish Kingdom, representing an alluring mix of cultural and political history.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Fri): make a trip to Historic Centre of Cordoba, stop by Meryan, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba, and finally step into the grandiose world of Castillo de Almodovar. Here are some ideas for day two: contemplate the long history of Casa Andalusi, pause for some serene contemplation at Capilla Mudejar de San Bartolome, then wander the streets of Jewish Quarter (Juderia), then steep yourself in history at Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, and finally don't miss a visit to Barrio de la Villa.

Traveling by train from Seville to Cordoba takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In October, daytime highs in Cordoba are 32°C, while nighttime lows are 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Sat) early enough to catch the train to Malaga.

Modern yet historic, Málaga is a lively city famous for being the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Malaga Cathedral and Puente Nuevo. Your inner history buff will appreciate Castillo de Gibralfaro and Alcazaba. Venture out of the city with trips to Marbella Old Town (in Marbella), Nerja (Nerja Quad Tours, Fundación Cueva de Nerja, &more) and Ronda (Wine Tours & Tastings, ArtesamArt, &more). There's still lots to do: take a leisurely stroll along Puerto de Málaga.

Getting from Cordoba to Malaga by train takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In October, daytime highs in Malaga are 30°C, while nighttime lows are 19°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Wed) so you can go by car to Granada.

Granada boasts numerous well-preserved examples of exquisite Moorish architecture, not the least of which is the Alhambra, an ancient citadel and royal palace.
Alhambra and Generalife are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Do your shopping at Lolita's Closet and Medievo Granada. There's much more to do: visit Albayzin, look for gifts at Munira Leather, and contemplate the long history of Mirador de San Nicolas.

Traveling by car from Malaga to Granada takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Traveling from Malaga in October, Granada is little chillier at night with lows of 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Sat) to allow time to drive back home.
