Nitra is a city in western Slovakia, situated at the foot of Zobor Mountain in the valley of the river Nitra. Slovak Agricultural Museum and Diecezne Muzeum will appeal to museum buffs. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Nitra Castle and Church of St. Michael the Archangel. Change things up with these side-trips from Nitra: Trencin (Karner sv. Michala & Trenciansky Hrad), Cachtice Castle (in Cachtice) and Dolna Krupa Castle (in Dolna Krupa).
