A state capital, Kuching offers access to the surrounding landscape on a range of ecotours through national parks and reserves.
Step out of Kuching to go to Bau and see Fairy Caves, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. On the 19th (Mon), spend an adventurous day with a kayaking and canoeing tour. There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Sarawak Cultural Village, examine the collection at Sarawak Museum, don't miss a visit to Kuching Esplanade, and take in nature's colorful creations at Sarawak Orchid Garden.

Sarawak, one of two Malaysian states on the island of Borneo, is known for its geographical diversity.
