  • With proper tickets ($6 euro more to skip line do this!) we had no wait for 830 entrance and lots of space to enjoy this jewel of Europe. Great views too. Go early. Better yet hire a private guide to maximize your time. Marco and Stefania are both local private guides who bring art to life. This may be the best art museum in Europe. Enjoy!
  • Some absolutely beautiful paintings. However, it was difficult to enjoy many of them due to the large concentration of tour groups, both seemingly official and third party. I was in a group of two and some rooms were impossible to enter due to the sheer number of unmoving tour groups crowding around paintings. We booked our tickets months ago. It seems that although entry times were staggered, it didn’t do any good. What was the point of booking so early if so many were allowed. One room had a maximum capacity of 25. Over 50 people easy were allowed inside. Our water bottles were also confiscated at the security check in, despite no signs preventing water earlier. That wasn’t the issue, but because of a lack of locker rooms, we had to go back to security to collect our waters after. When we came back to get them my sister was yelled at to get out. Overall, it was a beautiful gallery but an administrative nightmare.
