Create an itinerary including Fairy Caves
To enter the spooky underground world of Fairy Caves you have to navigate a cramped passage and climb some steep stairs. Once inside, look for interesting rock formations, including one that resembles a human throat and uvula, and another that looks like a statue of Quanyin, the goddess of mercy. A thin layer of plants--fed by the guano-enriched soil--clings to the wall of the cavern, creating an unusual look rarely seen in other caves. The makers of the guano hang from the ceiling and flit about the cave. Take a look at our Bau trip itinerary planning website to schedule your visit to Fairy Caves and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Visited late July, great drive on bike getting to Fairy Caves - but no visit because of temporary closure until further notice. Pity.

  • Basically fun and tired also.... So far so good... Literally, recommended for hikers out there... It has so many beautiful scenery inside and outside...
  • Better to come earlier. It closes at 4 pm but last entrance is 330 pm .Due to SOPs,we need to wait for people to leave before we can enter .We arrived at 310 pm and fortunately were the last to be allowed to enter yesterday. Many were turned away.Finishing the place in half hour was a rush...will come earlier again next time to "appreciate" the views. Easier to walk now with better lighting and metal railings to hold onto.Even the dark "hole" at the entrance seems bigger and easier to climb in through . Staff were friendly and enthusiastic.
