Rome, Italy to Budapest is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. In July, Budapest is little chillier than Rome - with highs of 33°C and lows of 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Nitra.

Nitra is a city in western Slovakia, situated at the foot of Zobor Mountain in the valley of the river Nitra. On the 15th (Fri), don't miss a visit to Nitra Calvary, step into the grandiose world of Nitra Castle, then walk around Mestsky Park na Sihoti, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Michael the Archangel.

Getting from Budapest to Nitra by car takes about 2.5 hours. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) early enough to drive to Bratislava.

You can drive from Nitra to Bratislava in an hour. Other options are to take a bus; or take a train. In July in Bratislava, expect temperatures between 33°C during the day and 19°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Mon) so you can go by car to Prague.

Traveling by car from Bratislava to Prague takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and flight; or take a train. When traveling from Bratislava in July, plan for a bit cooler days in Prague, with highs around 30°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Fri) so you can fly back home.
