Morelia — 2 nights

Morelia is a city and municipality in the north central part of the state of Michoacán in central Mexico. Your inner history buff will appreciate Catedral de Morelia and Santa Clara del Cobre. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Museo Casa Natal de Morelos and House of Eleven Patios (Casa de los Once Patios). Step out of Morelia with an excursion to Templo de la Compania de Jesus in Patzcuaro--about 58 minutes away. There's much more to do: walk around Jardin de las Rosas, look for gifts at Museo Michoacano de las Artesanias, admire the local landmark of Fuente de las Tarascas, and make a trip to Acueducto de Morelia.
