Quieter than nearby Patong Beach, the resort town of Karon offers a wide stretch of golden sand, which attracts mostly couples and families.
Take a break from the city and head to Scuba & Snorkeling and Freedom Beach. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Karon Viewpoint and The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project (GRP). There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Patong Beach, take some stellar pictures from Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), stop by Niphon's Rich Collection, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Kata Beach.
