Get some historical perspective at Catedrala Sfantul Mihail and Reformed Church of Cluj-Napoca. When in Cluj-Napoca, make a side trip to see Salina Turda in Turda, approximately Turda away. Sighetu Marmației, until 1964 Sighet, is a city in Maramureș County near the Iza River, in northwestern Romania.GeographySighetu Marmației is situated along the Tisa river on the border with Ukraine, across from the Ukrainian town of Solotvyno. Kick off your visit on the 28th (Wed): pause for some serene contemplation at Barsana Monastery, take an in-depth tour of Sighet village museum, then take an in-depth tour of Memorial of the Victims of Communism and of the Resistance, and finally stroll the grounds of Merry Cemetery.
