Burgas Province travel guide

4.1
Ruins · Water Parks · Landmarks
Located in southeastern Bulgaria, Burgas Province hugs the Black Sea and ranks as one of the country's most popular vacation destinations. The region's eponymous capital tops the itineraries of most visitors to the area, serving as a convenient transit point to the nearby resorts. The city rewards visitors with its relaxed seaside atmosphere, uncrowded beaches, and a pedestrianized center with fine museums and restaurants. Although you can spend your entire holiday exploring the city and its immediate surroundings, venturing a bit inland opens up a world of smaller settlements and pristine natural areas. The less-trodden parts of the province include three freshwater lakes, protected sanctuaries of many endangered species of fish and birds.
